You shouldn't be.

Think about it: If you're a recruiter/hiring manager, are you really going to…

• Sift through 300 resumes?
• Spend 5 hours a week for 10 weeks in the hopes of finding 'the one'?

No.

You’re going to dig into your Rolodex (or well, LinkedIn these days) and think about the people you've loved working with or have been impressed by.

That’s human nature; we trust the known over the unknown.

But What If You Don't Have a Network?

"Great, Jonathan. But what if I don't even have a 'network' to start with?" I hear you, and that's exactly why I made this guide for you.

Step-by-Step Guide: Networking for Newbies

Google Magic: Type “NetworkAI” into Google. Click the first link, or go here.

The Right Clicks: Click the appropriate option, select "I want an interview," and type in your desired field and company name.

‍

Hit the 'Generate' button and you’ll get a customized message like this.

Then select the “copy” button and click “Go to LinkedIn”

And now you’ve created a targeted search to find the recruiters/hiring managers for the role.

Paste the message you created, and boom, you’re networking!

But now what?!

By following these steps, you're not just throwing your resume into a black hole; you're sending it straight to people who are looking for candidates like you.

You're moving from being one in 300 to one in 1, possibly landing in the 'impressed by' bucket for hiring managers.
